Nick Hussey, CEO at Hennik said: “The UK has, for too long, suffered through a lack of coordinated and structured support activities such as events and bringing such a major event into DMW is hugely significant. We are delighted to be able to accommodate the event with all its delegates and sponsors as a key feature of DMW.”

Clive Hickman, CEO at the MTC said: “We have been supporters of The Manufacturer and Digital Manufacturing Week for many years. It is one of the most significant events in the manufacturing calendar and always inspirational. We are delighted to bring one of our core events to the week and to run it both as a virtual event and an in-person event in Liverpool”

Richard Watkins, Group Marketing Director at the MTC added: “This is a strategically important event for us, and we know that making it a core part of DMW is a fantastic way to give manufacturers a chance of adding value to their business, given the knowledge and expertise of our team here at the MTC and The Manufacturer.”

MTC’s Digitalising Manufacturing Conference

The MTC’s Digitalising Manufacturing Conference is back for 2021. Taking place across three days during Digital Manufacturing Week, it will be held in partnership with The Manufacturer.

This year’s conference will start with the big picture. We will hear from a panel of international expert speakers to gain a high-level view of the current situation in the UK, Europe and further afield, comparing different initiatives and approaches from across the globe to give a full 360° view of the situation right now.

The summit will look at the challenges and opportunities for UK manufacturers and where they can learn from successful initiatives and approaches from Europe and beyond.

Days two and three will focus on the practical implementation of industrial digital technologies and skills. The sessions are designed to give manufacturers a better understanding of the journey ahead of them, the challenges along the way and practical advice on how to tackle them in manageable steps, and ultimately make the right decisions for their business.

It will explore methodologies to support a successful digital transformation and hear from those who have started their journey to transform their business – how they approached it, obstacles, and lessons learnt to guide others looking to start their journey.

SME Growth Summit

SME Growth Summit is the industry event for manufacturing founders, owners and their executive teams – produced to equip them with the ideas, connections and examples they need to scale up their business.

The people, processes and financing that gets start-ups off the ground – are not the same as those that take promising SMEs to the next level. Manufacturing SME leaders succeed by encountering new and better ways of working – knowing when to bootstrap their growth, and when to invest into demand.

The Manufacturer magazine has been working with UK manufacturing SMEs for 25 years – providing them with the knowledge and tools to be successful.

SME Growth Summit is the perfect platform to engage successful SMEs with the ambition to build their businesses, with three key streams: People, Platform and Processes.

Taking place from 9 – 11 November 2021 at the ACC in Liverpool, the event incorporates the MTC Digitalising Manufacturing Conference, and scheduled time to visit Smart Factory Expo.

About The MTC

They represent one of the largest public sector investments in UK manufacturing and, after four years of planning and a 16-month build, the facility opened at Ansty Park in Coventry at the end of 2011.

Over the following ten years the MTC’s rapid growth has seen the expansion of its campus with the construction of three more facilities, including the opening of the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre and the National Centre for Additive Manufacturing.

Their role has also increased to cover not only R&D but also Training, Advanced Manufacturing Management and Factory Design.  They have helped hundreds of companies across a range of industries and over 100 of them have become members of the MTC.
