LONG ISLAND, NY, June 05, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ — The law firm of Rosenberg & Gluck, L.L.P., gifted a $1,000 donation to Stony Brook Hospital as the hospital staff cares for patients fighting the coronavirus (Covid-19).
Partners Erin Hargis and Matt Bligh stated that, were it not for the nurses and doctors who are ensuring that the community makes it through the current health scare, they would not be able to do what they do.
“We work each day to ensure that individuals who face harm are able to seek the justice they deserve, and nobody exemplifies that mission more pointedly than the nurses, doctors, and other staffers at the Stony Brook University Hospital,” Bligh said. “This donation is a signal of our support and appreciation for all that those staffers do for our community.”
The team at Stony Brook University Hospital has been fighting against the coronavirus since early February. Every employee at the hospital is involved in administering care, putting their own health on the line. It is estimated that Stony Brook University Hospital has seen more than 3,500 coronavirus-affected patients since then, taxing the resources of the hospital as well as the employees themselves.
“There is no resource more valuable right now than our healthcare workers, and we want to make sure that we acknowledge the indispensable role that the staffers at Stony Brook University Hospital have played during this difficult time,” said Erin Hargis of Rosenberg & Gluck, L.L.P.
As the community of Long Island and greater New York returns to some semblance of normalcy, the team at Rosenberg & Gluck, L.L.P., hopes that the hospital will be able to utilize their donation to provide care for those who require it.
The people of Suffolk County work hard and deserve to be taken care of when they find themselves facing hardship. The team at Rosenberg & Gluck, L.L.P., is there for the community of Long Island.
The donation from Rosenberg & Gluck, L.L.P., to Stony Brook University Hospital is a symbol of solidarity and support.
“We see our mission as caring for the residents of Long Island, and we know that Stony Brook University Hospital shares that goal and lives out this mission on a daily basis,” Bligh said. “We hope that those who need care continue to receive it from the first-class doctors, nurses, and staffers at Stony Brook.”
