There are only a few days left to register at the discounted price for the China International Food Safety and Quality Conference. The 15th Annual China International Food Safety and Quality (CIFSQ) Conference is in Beijing on Oct. 27 and 28. It is supported by the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP).

Before Sept. 30, in-person attendance is $800 and a virtual or on-demand ticket is $300. After this date, prices rise to $1,100 and $450, respectively.

The event brings together food safety professionals across China and worldwide for two days of learning and networking. An educational program features regulatory, scientific, academic, and industry leaders.

Bill Marler, managing partner at Marler Clark and publisher of Food Safety News, will take part in the welcome address.

Other speakers include Bert Popping, Cesare Varallo, Chris Elliott, David Tharp, Donald Prater, Francois Bourdichon, Frank Yiannas, Jeffrey Lejuene, Markus Lipp and Paul Kiecker.

Attendees are those responsible for food testing, inspection, process control, risk assessment, risk management, QC/QA, audit, certification, hygiene and sanitation, research, regulatory affairs, enforcement, legislation, litigation, standards, product development, manufacturing, and training.

The agenda covers food allergens, mycotoxins, food safety culture, food authenticity, antimicrobial resistance and foodborne pathogens.

Other upcoming events include the Asia-Pacific Symposium on Food Safety, a regional conference series of IAFP, in Korea on Nov. 10 to 12, the virtual African Continental Association for Food Protection (ACAFP) Food Safety Conference for Africa on Nov. 10 and 11 as well as the Dubai International Food Safety Conference and IAFP’s 8th Middle East Symposium from Nov. 18 to 22.
