  • BAA Training has acquired an Airbus A320 CEO/NEO full flight simulator (FFS) from L3Harris.
  • The Airbus A320 CEO/NEO FFS is currently being installed at BAA Training’s facility in Barcelona.

BAA Training is adding an additional FFS produced by L3Harris – Airbus A320 CEO/NEO – to the mix of equipment in its training centre BAA Training Spain to provide more capacity to train new and existing pilots.

The agreement builds on an existing L3Harris and BAA Training relationship, including agreements last year to deliver multiple FFSs and advanced EASA Level 2 flight training devices (FTD) across BAA Training’s training facilities in Europe and Asia.

The Airbus A320 CEO/NEO FFS is currently being installed at BAA Training’s training centre in Barcelona and will be ready for training at the end of 2021. The device joins the Airbus A320 CEO FFS, B737 MAX FFS and a soon-to-be delivered Airbus A320 EASA Level 2 FTD. L3Harris manages the manufacturing and delivery of the latter two devices.

“We continue to support BAA Training’s operations with this A320 CEO/NEO FFS, which improves both the quality and capacity of their training,” said Alan Crawford, President, Commercial Aviation, L3Harris. “This agreement reflects  the exciting recovery we are seeing across the commercial aviation industry.”

Marijus Ravoitis, Chief Executive Officer at BAA Training, said, “The equipment supplied by L3Harris will help BAA Training with its ambitious expansion plans. We’re aiming to offer a diversity of choice for our airline customers – an extended range of equipment in a number of different locations worldwide for their convenience.”
